Turning heads & junctions

The Turning & junctions section controls how streets meet and how dead-ends terminate, so refuse and emergency vehicles can turn.

The settings

SettingWhat it controls
HammerheadThe turning-head style at cul-de-sac ends. Airship adds these automatically to dead-end streets.
Turning armThe length of the turning-head arms β€” size to the design vehicle (e.g. a refuse truck).
Entry throatThe length of the straight "throat" where the site meets the existing road at the entrance.
Kerb radiusThe radius of kerbs at junctions β€” larger radii for easier turns, tighter for slower speeds.
Automatic. You don't place turning heads yourself β€” the generator adds them wherever a street dead-ends, using these values. Adjust the numbers and regenerate to change them.
