Templates & saved designs
The Templates & save section stores two different things: whole designs and reusable templates.
Designs
A design is the complete project — boundary, roads, plots, parking, landscaping, house types and every setting. Use Save design to store it and Designs to reload one. Designs also appear on your dashboard with thumbnails.
Templates
A template saves only your settings — site rules, road geometry, parking, house-type mix and the chosen algorithm — with no geometry. Apply a template to a new site to carry a consistent house style and standard across projects. Use Save template and the Templates list.
Tip. Build one template per housing standard you work to (say, one Durham, one Manual for Streets), then start every new site by loading the right one.
