Build, live & derig

An event site is three sites. The build (crew, plant and structures going up), the live days (the public, every welfare and trade unit, the barriers) and the derig (crew again, structures coming down). Everything you place says which of the three it is on site for, and you can view the site in any one of them.

The same site viewed during the build: the arena, campsite and entry zones and the live-only objects are not drawn.

Presence: on site during

Every object, zone and barrier run carries a set of phases — any combination of Build, Live and Derig, at least one. The defaults follow what the thing is:

ThingOn site by default
Structures, performance, medical & safety, welfare and waste objectsBuild · Live · Derig
Bars & traders and entry & movement objectsLive only
GatesBuild · Live · Derig — the opening in a perimeter that stands through the build

Change it on an object under ⚙ Parameters ("On site during"), and on a selected zone or barrier run with the On site during toggles (B · L · D) in the edit bar. Trackway and roads are not phased: trackway is laid for the build and stays through the derig. If you try to untick the last phase the control refuses — "An object must be on site in at least one phase — tick Build, Live or Derig."

The view phase

Show the site during — All · Build · Live · Derig — at the top of the sidebar, under the intro and above 1 · Site Boundary, so it is always in view; the same control is in the 🎪 menu. What is not on site in the viewed phase is not drawn, cannot be picked and is not counted in the tiles; All shows everything. A zone or run you draw while viewing one phase is on site in that phase. The view phase is yours: it is remembered in your browser, never saved in the design, so a collaborator or a reviewer sees their own.

The schedules and the planning report print each row's presence as its letters — B · L · D.

Pinning a sheet to a phase

A sketch sheet can be pinned to one phase for printing. In Sketch style the Site shown during select offers the viewer's phase, the build, the live days or the derig. A pinned sheet draws that phase whatever the viewer has chosen, the sidebar says "📌 This sheet is pinned to the … phase — change it in Sketch style", and its title block can print the phase with the {phase} token.
