Measuring distances
The Measure tool reads real-world dimensions straight off your scheme β a running length or an enclosed area on the 2D plan, and point-to-point X/Y/Z in the 3D model.

On the 2D plan
Pick π Measure from the tools palette, then click points on the plan:
- Each segment shows its length, and a running total appears for the whole chain β so you can measure a single distance or a multi-leg run.
- Clicks snap to nearby boundary, plot and road corners for accuracy. Hold Shift while clicking for a free (un-snapped) point.
- A dashed live preview follows the cursor as you go.
- Measure an area: click back on your first point to close the loop β the enclosed area (mΒ² or hectares) is shown in the centre of the shape, with the perimeter beneath. Leave the chain open for a straight-line or multi-leg length.
- Double-click to finish the current measurement β the next click starts a fresh one β or press Esc to clear.
In 3D
Switch to the 3D view and tap π Measure in the 3D toolbar, then tap two points on the model. A readout panel reports:

| Distance | The straight-line, point-to-point distance. |
| X Β· EβW | The eastβwest separation. |
| Y Β· NβS | The northβsouth separation. |
| Z Β· height | The vertical (height) difference. |
A bright-red line and end markers are drawn between the two points, with the X, Y and Z components shown as separate colour-coded axis lines (like the Autodesk APS viewer). Tap again to start a new one. On a touch screen a stationary tap adds a point, while a drag still orbits the view.
Indicative. Measurements reflect the drawing's scale β confirm the scale is set correctly (see Boundary, entrance & scale) and verify critical dimensions against a measured survey.
